About the Seminar

India has progressed by leaps and bounds after economic reforms. The continuous improving phase of monetary and fiscal policies, global and national environment, free flow of goods, services and intellect have compelled the managers to be on toes. They have to avail the opportunities from the changing scenario. At the same time a certain sector of society is unable to cope up with the changes. A few sectors are advancing others are still stagnant.

Contributions are sought from researchers about:

• Economic Environment and Business Sustenance
• Virtual world threatening the real world
• Business success and customer relation
• Small And Medium Enterprises- Business sustenance in Competitive Global Environment  
• Green Supply Chain Management for corporate sustenance
• Global Economic Crisis-A Way Out
• Role of Human Resource Development for Economic Sustenance 

The research areas are broad in nature and any problem on macro level is welcome. 

Guidelines for Abstract submission:

Abstract should be submitted in the following format- not exceeding 250 words, typed in MS word, font should be Times New Roman 12 size and line spacing 1.5. Name of author’s, designation, their addresses (postal and email) of the organization / Institution name and address and phone / fax numbers should be indicated. Abstract must include the clear indication of the purpose of research, methodology, major results, implications and key references.  

Important Dates:

Submission of Abstract: 15^th February, 2012.

Submission of Full Paper: 20^th February, 2012

Conference Date: February 24-25, 2012          

 Publication of Proceedings and Research Paper:

The selected research articles will be published in “Journal of Development Research” (ISSN.2229-7561). A Conference Proceeding will be published comprising all the accepted abstracts received before February 20, 2012.

Evaluation Criteria:

Papers will be evaluated on criteria such as Relevance, Research Methodology, Conclusionand References. The paper should contribute new knowledge contributed by authors.

Prizes and Certificates:

To recognize the exceptional efforts “The Best Research Paper” will be awarded. All

participants will be given certificates of participation and presentation. 

Accommodation:                

• Accommodation will be arranged at an extra cost paid by the participants.
• No TA/DA will be provided 
• Participants will be given lunch, tea, snacks & seminar kit.

Paper Presentation in Absentia:

Those who cannot come to Mumbai but wish to present a paper in absentia are encouraged to send their abstract by February 15, 2012. Papers presented in absentia are eligible for publications in the Conference Proceedings.
