Director's Message:

At ‘Vivekananda Education Society’s Institute of Management Studies and Research’ (VESIMSR), we uphold the Ethos and values of Indian management system coupled with the science , knowledge and technology of western education leading to creation of a pool of global Indian managers who excel under any circumstances of the highly dynamic global business environment. By personal mentoring, psychometric analysis, yoga practices, excellent library with digital knowledge database, state-of-the-art computer lab and focused attention on every individual student by myself and my team of senior faculties ensures to tap the hidden potential in each individual student joining the Institute and prepares him/her to cope up the high level of performance in the contemporary highly stressful corporate business environment. We inculcate in the students the habit of lateral and innovative thinking, reading habit, research orientation, decision making capability along with nurturing and developing physical and mental strength to sustain and excel under any business situation.

The faculty is a blend of youth and experience and most of them are with a wealth of actual field experience from corporate world backed up by academic experience so that application oriented knowledge can be imparted to the students with lots of live real life examples from their corporate experience, Case studies, workshops, business games, simulation and working in live projects with business organizations as part of the learning process. Over and above the subjects that are part of the Mumbai University syllabus, lot of certificate courses on contemporary emerging subjects and practices adopted by the business organizations like Six Sigma, ISO 9000, Supply Chain Management, Strategic Cost Management, Security and Portfolio Management, Banking workshop, Excel workshop are carried out to add additional management knowledge to the students having a better cutting edge and competitive advantage over the management students of other Institutes. Excellent infrastructure coupled with air conditioned class rooms, LCD projectors, power point presentations and providing online teaching notes and other learning media makes the students learning enjoyable and easy to absorb. Apart from the students’ placement committee, a dedicated faculty member along with the support of the entire faculty fraternity prepares and guides the students for securing placement in the Industry. A high intensity dedicated effort is made by the entire Institute’s students and faculties including myself to assist students getting a good job as well as guiding and helping those students who want to be the entrepreneurs. A separate ‘Personality Development workshop’ including spoken English, etiquettes, table manners, body language, stress management, dressing, voice modulation, transaction analysis, presentation skill etc. are endeavored to be imparted to the students to enable them to compete better with the students of other Management Institutes. Therefore we concentrate on the ‘Holistic development’ of our students in all aspects thereby enabling them to acquire the competency to deliver efficient and effective use of knowledge in practical real life situations furthering the performance excellence of the students in the organizations they join to add value from the first day to their existing system. 

I would like to conclude my message with a quotation from Swami Vivekananda’s saying – “We want that education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded and by which one can stand on one’s own feet”.
